Allis Clamp
An Allis clamp is a toothed surgical grasping instrument used to hold and retract tissue. The toothed jaw pattern supports a firm hold on tissue where that grasping action is appropriate. It is used for controlled traction and tissue positioning and should be distinguished from non-toothed clamps for delicate structures.
