How supplier evidence is reviewed

A company review and a device-specific regulatory review answer different questions. Check the scope and status displayed on each listing.

Supplier company review

Supplier onboarding collects business and compliance documents for admin review. A supplier profile or a published listing alone does not establish manufacturer authorization, clinical suitability or regulatory clearance for an individual device.

Product-specific evidence

Suppliers can provide the authority, jurisdiction, evidence type, reference number, device class, issuer, applicable models and supporting documents. Supplier-provided labels remain marked as not independently verified.

A MedPrax review is recorded with a review date and source. The product badge identifies the authority and type of evidence reviewed. Pending, expired, withdrawn or rejected records do not qualify for that badge. Changes to the listing identity or evidence require a fresh review.

Checks before purchasing

Confirm that the document covers the exact model, configuration, intended use, destination and current validity. Quality-system certificates and registrations are distinct from device clearance. Ask for installation, warranty, training, consumable and service arrangements in writing.

Where applicable, consult the CDSCO medical-device resources and the relevant destination authority.
